You can travel . . .

Puerto Princesa, Palawan

Palawan is the largest province of the Philippines. Its municipalities include the wonderful El Nido, where the last part of "The Bourne Legacy" movie was taken, Coron, listed as one of the best scuba diving sites in the world, the disputed Spratly Islands (Kalayaan Group of Islands) and of course the one of the cleanest and greenest city in the country, Puerto Princesa.

Puerto Princesa, Palawan Airport

Puerto Princesa International Airport at around 17:15H on June 9, 2012, Emma Roque and I arrived. We stayed in a hotel near the airport, almost in front of the famous KINABUCHS Grill & Bar (kina Buch) where we had our seafood dinner. Grilled samaral and butter garlic prawns, (will try  their special exotic Tamilok/woodworm next time) Yummy!

The next day, our Island hopping Honda Bay Tour :

We were excited for this tour so we decided to wake-up and have our breakfast early. At exactly 7am, our tour guide came with a family waiting for me and ate Emma at the van. We were 8 in a group to have our island hopping tour.

Had an amazing time on my first snorkeling experience at Pambato Reef, our first stop. Thanks to our gorgeous tour guide, April, she told us to rent an underwater camera case from a shop at the wharf.

Since it was already noontime, we had our mouth watering lunch (included in the package tour) at the Starfish Island, our next stop. I love to eat, so I ate much. :)

We had such a great time swimming, snorkeling and fish feeding at the beautiful beach of Pandan Island, our last stop. Ah! Before I forget, I also enjoyed their version of halo-halo. There are stores selling yummy halo-halo and ice candies there too.

A picture with our tour guide (yellow shirt) and our newly-found adventurous friend, also from Manila with her mother. We do not know that man on the left, he's a Chinese,  I guess.

We reached the city proper at 4:00pm. After an hour of rest at the hotel, we went out to buy some "bring home goodies". Palawan is known as the country's cashew capital (love their roasted cashew nuts). I also bought a black pearl earrings.

City Tour

FYI: We did this tour on our own. We rented a tricycle from our hotel and he asked us only Php300.00 for a round-trip to Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Plaza Cuartel, Butterfly Garden, Baywalk, Mitra's Ranch and finally at The Baker's Hill.

Want to revisit Puerto Princesa!!!
